"these are a few of my favorite things"

These may have worked for Julie Andrews, or shall I call her Maria? But it just doesn't cut it for me.

Today, I want to share with you a few of my favorite things. Ok, five of my favorite things. But who's counting? Now, I have LOTS of favorite things. But none of you have time [or care enough] to hear them all. Alright, well here I go...

CHRISTMAS

I love Christmas. Everything about Christmas. First and foremost, the birth of Jesus Christ. For without him, I obviously wouldn't be here. But I also LOVE the music. The lights. The presents. The trees. The food. The spirit. Love love love it. But I also love how it's only one time of year. By the time it gets here, I'm always SO ready for it. This year I started listening to Christmas music in October. That's a record for me. But that just shows my dedication to this holiday.

BABIES

I love babies! Now this might come as a shock to some of you. Believe me. When I finally had this realization, it shocked myself! As a teen, babies didn't really phase me. There was even a point in time I said I didn't want to have kids! {gasp} But something happened when my sister became pregnant. I got to go through the whole process with her while she was pregnant and when Neela was born, it hit me. I love babies. Now, I'm not a fan of the spit up, throw up, dirty diapers. I mean, who really IS a fan? But I love their innocence. I love how everything is funny to them. I currently have two babies in my life (Neela & Addyson) and I'm sad I missed out on loving babies when Alexis and Faith were babies. But Faith and Lexie will always be my little babies too. and I can't get enough of my nieces!!

DIAMONDS

I know, I know. Not so much of a shocker. But I can't deny it. I love diamonds. They truly are a girl's best friend! They won't ever let you down. They will sparkle and shine and be your best compliment to your outfit. They won't ever steal your boyfriend. They won't ever talk bad about you. They only push you to be a prettier person.

JAKE GYLLENHAAL

Oh boy. Do I LOVE Jake Gyllenhaal. He's always been one of my favorite actors. [unlike others, I can look past the whole Brokeback Mountain incident] But he is just gorgeous. And if Taylor Swift can grab him, I definitely could. I was actually pulling for him and Reese Witherspoon to work out. [I love Reese, too!] But please Jake. Anybody but Taylor. [Bethany, don't judge me. I know you love Taylor.]

GLEE

If there was only one television show that I had to watch for the rest of my life, I think Glee could be that show. I love Glee! Don't get me wrong. It's definitely had some of its "iffy" moments. But I absolutely love this show. Singing. Dancing. Cool people. Nerdy people. Dumb people. Its so entertaining! and Jane Lynch is hilarious. You love to hate her. and not to mention, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison)....that's reason enough for me to watch! What a hunk.
