everyone loves countdowns...

With all of the Christmas hype going around, I almost forgot that Thanksgiving is only 9 days away! What is happening to me? Thanksgiving used to be my favorite holiday ever. Sure, Christmas is fun with all of the music and decorations. But let's face it. Thanksgiving is the most important.....it has the best FOOD! But Thanksgiving is also a great holiday because you get to spend time with your family and not have to worry about gifts, making sure the kids don't swallow Christmas ornaments and every other stress that comes with Christmas. Therefore for the next nine days I will tell you the top ten things I am thankful for. They won't be in any particular order and I'm not saving the "best for last."

#10 - my faith
I honestly have no clue where I would be without my faith in God right now. I've been a Christian since I was 15 years old and I'm still not sure how I got through those first 15 years. Especially within these past few months, I have had to fully rely on God. He has had to remind me that He is in control at ALL times while looking for jobs, apartments and even friends. I've grown so much in my faith even just within these past 6 months. Growing up is hard. I went through so many changes in such a short amount of time. It was all very overwhelming. And it still gets overwhelming at times. But I'm so thankful to know that God is always there for me. No matter what condition I'm in spiritually, emotionally, physically.

#9 - music
Music is so very important to me. With my father and mother both being musicians, I was bound to grow up with music in my life. Whether it's singing, playing or just listening - I'm not sure I've gone a day without music. and I'm not real sure I could go a day without music. iTunes is my best friend. With that said, here are some of my favorite songs for the moment:

• Family Tree - Dave Barnes
• Unpredictable - Francesca Battistelli
• Teenage Dream - Glee
• Only Girl (In The World) - Rihanna

until next time...
